The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating Book Club Day

When her body keeps her bedridden, Elisabeth Tova Bailey is gifted with a snail as her bedside companion in her memoir, The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating. At first a mere curiosity, Bailey becomes attached to the little brown snail. The snail keeps her mind busy while her body is unable to cooperate.

Today From Left to Write members are inspired by Bailey’s snail as well.

When was the last time you stopped and watched a snail?
