This spring, I took a food writing class with author Kathleen Flinn. She’s super nice and I learned tons from her class. I’ve admired her work since I read her first book The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry. This memoir made me realize that I didn’t want to be a professional chef. I just enjoyed cooking. She’s written 2 more books since then.
Kat’s most recent book is Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good, a memoir about her family’s travels across the United States and the food that sustained them. I reviewed the book last year when it was first published. Spoiler: I devoured this book!
GIVEAWAY: Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good is now out in paperback. To celebrate, I’m giving away a copy to one lucky From Left to Write reader! Enter through the widget below (open to US residents only).
